Nurturing the Ryder Cup’s fanbase while maximising revenue

The Ryder Cup is a prestigious bi-annual golf tournament featuring many of the greatest players in the game. With a vast archive of back catalogue content, we saw a clear opportunity to work with the Ryder Cup to supercharge its YouTube presence without compromising the rights of its valuable broadcast partners. Our remit included full-service content support during the event – editing, optimising, and publishing in real time. 

Solution

We implemented a dual-track strategy: a dynamic in-tournament content plan and a robust always-on calendar between tournaments. By leveraging the tournament’s extensive archive and live footage, we built a content engine designed to drive growth across the board. 

We cleverly implemented Content ID and rights management processes to safeguard partner rights. From thumbnails to metadata, every asset was meticulously optimised for discovery and engagement.
